You may be wondering about whether what you're see is really anything to be concerned about or what it could possible be. We want to stress that we're not interested in you diagnosing your loved one. We provide information to help you understand more about what might be going on can help and have a better idea when more professional help is needed.
One of the hardest things to do is to stand by when we see things happening with someone we care about. We want to do something - or get them to do something about it. And we feel powerless.
What we CAN do
Having a loved one who's challenged with stress, depression or anxiety can be exhausting. It can leave you feeling tired, stressed, anxious and depression yourself! Because you're focusing your attention on being there for your loved one, it's to run out of time to take care of yourself.
We want to remind you about how important it is for you to take care of yourself. It's not a luxury: it’s an absolute necessity. Remember what they say when you start an airplane trip - if the oxygen masks drop down - put yours on first. You're no good to anyone else if you're not at your best.
